Judith Bigham is an enthusiastic art and design doyenne. She is a painter, muralist, printmaker, and all around arty gal.
INKS
All paintings are made with archival "High Flow" acrylic paints and inks - with a high degree of lightfastness (resistance to fading from UV light).
PAPER
The paper used is a professional grade, 100% cotton, acid-free archival paper. The way the inks flow on this paper, as compared to non-cotton paper, is totally mesmerizing.
All Paper is organically hand cut with slight size variations, not noticeable with the naked eye.
PAINTINGS
The paintings are lovingly hand created with attention to detail and care. Pencil marks, slight drops of paint here and there, add to the appeal of these gorgeous works of art.
Philosophy
The things that we surround ourselves with every day affect us whether we realize it or not. I strive to create paintings and drawings that inspires a sense of discovery and wonder. In my work I experiment with shapes and colors to find surprising new imagery that can uplift, challenge, and inspire new ideas.
The idea of art is to communicate. The work must invite the viewer in through contrast, composition, and content. The content must have intent and integrity. In my artwork I don’t strive for perfection - I strive for honesty, unity, and a sense of connection. My artwork is imbued with my passion for life, beauty in all of its forms, and good vibes, baby!
